How Humans Will Become a Type 3 Civilization

When will Humans Become A Type 3 Civilization?

Humans will become a type 3 civilization in the next 5,800 years according to Nikolai Kardashev. This implies that we still have enough time to advance and develop new technologies that will enable us to become a type 1 in the next 100 to 200 years, a type 2 in the next 3200 years, and finally a type III civilization in the next 5,800 years.

How Humans will become a type 3 civilization

If humans become a type 3 civilization, we will have to cross certain boundaries to increase their chances of succeeding. We are still currently a type 0.73 civilization. If we must accelerate from type 0.73 to type III, we have to first become a type 1 civilization, before migrating to a type 2 civilization.

Once we become a type 2, we can proceed to accelerate to attain the highest level in the Kardashev scale. As a type 0.73, we have successfully sent two human-made objects to reach Interstellar Space. The next great milestone will be targeted at harnessing the entire energy of our home planet.

After that, we will figure out how to harness the energy of the sun in a few thousand years to come, before traveling to distant star systems to harness their solar power output. Hence, a type 3 civilization should be able to master interstellar travel before thinking of going intergalactic.

When we finally become a type III civilization, we will have the potential to travel to other galactic worlds through a wormhole. Advanced humans living in that era will also conduct intergalactic communication with others through subspace medium.

At that time, humans will practice galactic engineering and advance greatly in almost every engineering we use today. Humans living in this exciting future will likely communicate faster than the speed of light. They may also be able to propel a spacecraft at a speed faster than light.

Since humans will extract energy from supermassive black holes, we are expecting them to generate power output greater than 1046 W/s. A type III civilization should be able to teleport matter in an advanced form.
